Incorporating Human Factors in Delay Time Modeling of Inspection Maintenance Using Fuzzy Logic

Human factors (HF) affecting maintenance performance are common in practice, but have never been considered delay-time modelling (DTM). The objective of this study is to integrate HF DTM obtain an accurate and realistic optimal inspection interval. First, a list that affects identified through literature review. Then, conceptual framework proposed illustrate the integration system. Three significant selected, based on experts’ opinion be incorporated into DTM, namely operator experience level, fatigue task seriousness. Fuzzy modeling used estimate time allowance for human factors, which can added duration DTM. Two models developed modified with objectives minimizing expected downtime total cost per unit time. Both validated against case study.
